Rain

Rain, Rain, Rain, Rain, Rain, Rain, Rain, Rain, Rain.
The Adirondacks are getting their share of the rain. The Hudson River is high, and never gets down to normal, because before it can, it Rains again. My lawn is very green, but also very high. When it stops raining I will assemble my new lawn mower and mow it. Until then, it will remain wet and very high.
One positive thing, no forest fires in the Adirondacks.

What a great place

I try to walk almost every day. I try to take a different route, and see different views of the town each day. But at the same time I try to connect with the River walk each day as close to the Library as possible, where it starts. As I walked today, the river seemed more beautiful than usual, maybe because of every tree and plant waking up from the long winter and really beginning to feel the warmth of the sun.
As I approached the Curtis Park, I thought, what a great place to have my devotions each morning, what a quiet and beautiful place it is. Close to the river but sourrounded by the beautiful trees and grass. Close to God who created it all. What a great place to study his Word and get closer to him at the same time.

A Down Day

Today is a down day, the flu or a cold has a grip on my body and really cramping my style. Many times I hear those in my age bracket say," if you have your health, you have everything." How true, today I have nothing, Rest, Rest, Rest, give your body a chance to destroy this virus.
My plan, take an aspirin and get a long nights sleep, tomorrow will be better.

Today

Today I attended the Ground Breaking Ceremony for the new Firehouse. What a great thing it is to be able to build it. The fire company has survived with their cramped quarters for many years. I am very glad to help them in any way to obtain the new facility. It is so great also that Teresa Sayward would come all the way down from where she lives to attend this and so many other events that she works into her busy schedule. The Town and Village can accomplish a lot if they will work together.

Spring Jobs

I look at my car and can't wait for a really warm day to detail it. It needs a coat of wax and the carpeting is filthy after all of the winter water and salt. There is no way to prevent it, but it still seems a shame to mistreat your car in that way.
As I look at the weather forcast, today may be the day.
