Winter

Two days ago I committed to getting ready for winter. I raked the rest of the leaves, put the weedeater in the cellar. Took care of the leaf blower, the limb saw, the trimmers, and put them all where it is warm. I put the bags of lime and turf builder in the cupboard (winter won't hurt them). I moved the lawn mower to the back of the garage and put the snowblower up by the door ready to take the first trip down the driveway. I dug some old landscaping timbers out of the ground and put them out for the village to pick up.
I was tired when I quit, but as I walked toward the house I had one thought in mind. I am now ready, if the snow should come tonight I can handle it. Bring it on.
